Frequently Asked Questions about Amsterdam Guides & Tours

Booking in advance guarantees your spot on your preferred date and time, as well as the best available rate. It also gives you peace of mind knowing your experience is confirmed before you arrive in Amsterdam.

Once your payment is completed, you will see the confirmation on screen along with your booking reference number. You will also receive an email with all the details. Keep this email to present on the day of your tour.

First, check your spam or junk folder. If it’s not there, email us at booking@amsterdamguias.com including your name, phone number, and booking reference (if available).

Most of our tours accept a digital voucher on your smartphone. However, some providers still require a printed copy; if so, we will clearly indicate this in your confirmation.

Most tours are automatically confirmed once payment is made. If a reconfirmation is required, you will find clear instructions in your confirmation email.

We accept online payments with Visa and MasterCard. At the moment, we do not accept American Express.

Yes, as long as we have availability for your new date or time. Email us at booking@amsterdamguias.com and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

For bookings of 10 or more people, please contact us at booking@amsterdamguias.com for information about seasonal group rates.

Some tours and vehicles are not fully wheelchair accessible. If you have limited mobility and can get on and off the vehicle, we can bring your wheelchair along. Please check with us before booking.

Small hand luggage is allowed. Well-behaved small dogs are welcome, except on boat or bus tours. Please let us know in advance.

For walking and cycling tours, we usually keep groups between 4 and 12 people. Bus excursions may have larger groups.

Tours run even in the rain; they are only cancelled if weather conditions pose a safety risk.

Most tours offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure. After that time, no refunds are issued. If we cancel the tour, you will receive a full refund.

The meeting point is specified in your confirmation email. We choose central, easy-to-find locations such as Dam Square or Amsterdam Central Station.

We recommend being comfortable riding a bike. Our routes are relaxed and follow bike lanes and safe areas.

Yes. Most of our boats have a roof or retractable cover so you can enjoy your trip in any season.

Yes. Please send us an email with your full billing details (name, address, postal code, and city) and we will send it to you as soon as possible.

Travel tip: If it’s your first time in Amsterdam, combine a morning walking tour with an evening canal cruise. The city will amaze you from every angle!
